“The Kachmann Mind Body Institute is an oasis of calm and grooviness in the middle of the Midwest. I am constantly on the road traveling between NY and LA, but stop into the Fort whenever I can. The KMBI is a must-stop location for me always! It is one of the nicest spaces for yoga in the country.”

I regularly attend Amber's Pilates class on Thursday evening's, and find it to be a great way to help me de-stress and stay fit. - And, working-out in the gallery at the Kachmann Mind Body Institute, and being surrounded by all of that beautiful art, certainly adds a unique atmospheric touch to the experience!"

“It took me a year to build up courage to call Kelly. I had fear that I couldn't "workout" and I was embarrassed about my size. I had not been active for quite awhile and when I started working out with Kelly I certainly felt the "pain." But what I also felt was renewed power and strength that I could do it. The more I lost and the stronger I became the better I felt. I had more flexibility, more strength to lift my 40 pound daughter, and more stamina. The most awesome bodily change for me is the shape it is taking. My arms have definition and my waist is really there. My metabolism actually "woke up" and I can eat some higher calorie items without gaining weight.

I am still in the middle of my journey but I feel like I have turned a corner and can really accomplish my goal of being fit and trim. My personal goal is to weigh 150-160 pounds. I have lost 45 pounds and many, many inches. I also like exercise! Kelly has such a positive outlook on life and health and she is so non judgmental. I feel supported and encouraged in my journey.”

"So the time had come...I started taking yoga classes. Something I always wanted to do...saw myself doing, but never really took the plunge. I've been to 4 classes so far....learning various types of yoga. With a society full of choices, yoga is not exempt. The Kachmann Mind, Body, Institute offers so many varieties of classes that to simply use the term "yoga" becomes a broad term for such a powerful experience.

I call it an "experience" because that's how it feels each time I go. After just a few classes, I can tell you - I'm hooked! Not just with the practice of yoga, but with the people I met there and the atmosphere of the studio itself. My goal as the New Year unfolds is to honor myself, my body and to take time on things that bring me joy and peace. Yoga has been that for me. I can honestly say this is something that has become a part of my life and is here to stay."

"I was introduced to yoga and Pilates through classes being taught by Kelly Metzger at the fitness center where I work, K&K Insurance. I quickly became a member when Kelly opened her yoga studio, now known as the Kachmann Mind Body Institute. I quickly found that yoga was a good complement to the high energy cardio workouts that I was so familiar with. Those workouts, while beneficial for your heart and managing weight loss, were taking their toll on my body because I was not taking the time to stretch and lengthen the muscles that had worked so hard to propel me through them. Yoga classes have given me structured time to take care of those muscles and realignment of the spine. While I did notice that my flexibility improved through yoga, I will only be as flexible as my body structure allows, and that's not very much, but the most noticeable change that yoga has provided is strength as well as definition. I am not discounting the importance of weight training, but I have found that a consistent active yoga practice provides way more upper and lower body strength and will define your upper body and back much more than weight training. “
